About Us.Hello! We are Cardinal Rule!
This group was formed in January of 2014 to be the University of Louisville's premiere a cappella group. We have performed songs from many genres and many different recording artists. This group also uses many different arrangers from professionals to our very own student arrangers. We strive to create a close community between our members and our audiences, and to spread harmony through harmony. |

About the Audition Process
Cardinal Rule holds auditions for a new group in the fall semester of each school year. The first part of this process is to prepare an a cappella solo of one to two minutes in length. Then, if selected for callback auditions, you will learn 1-2 a cappella pieces for the second part of auditions. In this second part, you will perform the chosen piece one on a part in different combinations. Following the callback auditions, the group is selected and an email announcing results is distributed.
